The Central Northland Science & Technology Fair

Some of Northland’s best and brightest young minds as well as humanoid robot “Baxter” will be on show at the Central Northland Science & Technology Fair (CNSTF) in Whangarei from August 30 to September 1.

Celebrating 37 years of science and innovation, this year’s CNTSF will play host to cutting-edge science projects by intermediate and high school students from across central Northland.

Kaikohe Rotary Okaihau Kaikohe Traverse

A Fun Event for All Ages

9km run/walk
14km run/walk
21km run or walk

The finish is at the Kaikohe Pioneer Village where there will be prizes, refreshments and entertainment for all the family. Bus transport available from the Kaikohe Pioneer Village to the start.

The event takes place on the Twin Coast Cycle Trail - Te Pou Herenga Tai. Easy contours (former rail corridor) except for a very short steep section near the start.

Tempt your taste buds with all Northland has to offer this October at the annual ‘it!’ Food and Wine Festival in the Bay of Islands. The popular festival boasts mouth-watering Northland food and seafood, award winning NZ wine, beer and cider that is not to be missed!

Paihia Village Green, Adult $49. Child $15 (under 5 years free), Family Pass $120.

Palmers Planet Mangawhai Garden Ramble 2016

Now in its 13th year running, this year's event promises to excite & delight both first time and returning ramblers! We have a fabulous array of gardens on offer, including a few never before seen gems, and a host of new initiatives to enhance your rambling experience. And it's all for a great cause! All monies raised are shared between the Mangawhai Kindergarten and Mangawhai Plunket Groups, both of which provide invaluable support for young children and families in our local community.
